The
ultimate expeditions in Tasmania’s
South West National Park World
Heritage Area
There are few walks in Australia
that could compare to 16-day Port
Davey South Coast track Expedition.
Starting out at Scotts Peak dam at
the southern end of Lake Pedder we
head south Traversing beneath the
impressive Arthur Range through
button grass plains towards the Lost
World Plateau.
Following the Spring River South we
arrive at Bathurst Narrows ready
negotiate our last obstacle before
the leisurely walk into Melaleuca.
We have allowed extra time for side
trips as well as a safety back up
for poor weather and river
crossings. Fully rested and
re-supplied we head south on the
South Coast track spending nine more
days crossing mountain ranges and
wandering along deserted beaches.
As with the south coast track we
finish this epic expedition at the
remote southern outpost of Cockle
Creek. This trip will only be
offered as an extension to those
participating in our South Coast
Track Expedition. |
