Day 1:
King Island, Elephant Bay, Grassy
In King Island, be met on arrival
then briefly tour Currie before
transferring to your accommodation.
Visit Sea Elephant Bay and Grassy
and tonight dine on King Island’s
best produce. This evening watch as
penguins waddle across the sand to
their burrows.

Day 2:
Full Day Tour, Cheese Factory
Visit Martha Lavinia Beach, Penny
Lagoon and Cape Wickham Lighthouse,
the tallest in the Southern
Hemisphere. Enjoy a delicious lunch
of King Island produce at Penny
Wickham, stop at Whistler Point for
great views and stroll to Yellow
Rock. Pass the shipwrecked Shannon
then visit the cheese factory and
perhaps buy world-renowned King
Island cheeses.
Day 3: King
Island, Launceston
Transfer to Currie Airport for your
flight to Launceston via Melbourne.
Be welcomed on arrival and
transferred to your tour hotel.
Enjoy this afternoon at leisure.

This afternoon visit Cataract Gorge,
then choose from a trip to Platypus

Day 5:
Bicheno, Freycinet National Park
Visit the Bridestowe Lavender Farm
(Dec.-Jan.) to see the purple
lavender fields. Travel south to
Bicheno and East Coast Natureworld
to visit the unique Tasmanian Devil.
Discover the coastal wonders of
Freycinet National Park and walk
along Cape Tourville with a Ranger.

Day 6:
Port Arthur Historic Site, Crayfeast
Today we travel to the Port Arthur
Historic Site for an insight into
Tasmania’s brutal convict era.
Journey along the Tasman Peninsula
and explore the famous Devils
Kitchen, Tasman Arch and Tessellated
Pavement. Later, join a cruise on
Mason Cove and take a guided walk
through the historical convict site.
This evening enjoy a delicious
crayfish dinner (fresh seafood
served outside cray season).

Day 7:
Richmond, Hobart, Freedom of Choice
Touring, Dine Around Dinner
Discover the delightful Georgian
village of Richmond, classified by
the National Trust. Then perhaps
visit the Cadbury Chocolate Factory,
the historical Cascade Brewery
(seasonal closures occur) or take a
locally guided historical walk of
Hobart. Later, visit the Royal
Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
Tonight, choose to dine at The Cove
or The Drunken Admiral, both on
Hobart’s scenic waterfront, or take
the Hobart Historical Pub Tour and
dinner - hear tales of shady
characters circumventing the law in
the days of the colony.

Day 8:
Salamanca Market, AirWalk
Start the day with a stroll through
Salamanca Place and its vibrant,
colourful Saturday market. This
afternoon tour south to the
beautiful Huon Valley. View the
Forest and Heritage Centre at
Geeveston and enjoy a stroll along
the Tahune AirWalk. Set amid the
tree tops, the AirWalk allows a
unique view of the tranquil forests
surrounding the Huon and Picton
Rivers. On our return to Hobart,
drive to the summit of Mt Nelson for
fabulous city views. Bruny Island
Adventure Cruise.
Day 9:
Russell Falls, World Heritage Lake
St Clair, West Coast Wilderness
Railway
A day for nature-lovers, travel to
Mt Field National Park and walk to
Russell Falls. Journeying deep into
World Heritage wilderness, absorb
the beauty of Lake St Clair. In
Queenstown, board the award-winning
West Coast Wilderness Railway for a
trip through the forest. Tonight
enjoy a buffet meal while
overlooking the waterfront.

Day 10:
Gordon River Wilderness Cruise, Dine
Around Dinner
Spend a day cruising the Gordon
River aboard the Lady Jane Franklin
II with comfortable guaranteed
window seating. Enjoy a lunch on
board, stop for a rainforest walk at
Heritage Landing and explore the
infamous Sarah Island with a guide.
This afternoon, explore the quaint
and picturesque seaside town of
Strahan then choose to dine at View
42º, Hamer’s Hotel or The Fish Café.
Perhaps take the opportunity to see
a local pantomime on the area’s
convict history (own expense).
Day 11:
Cradle Mountain, Freedom of Choice
Touring
Today continue to the wild and
exquisite region of Cradle Mountain.
Visit the Information Centre to
learn about the area before joining
a local guide to view the pristine
Dove Lake and the craggy peak of
Cradle Mountain, stopping by
Waldheim Chalet along the way. This
afternoon, choose your own touring.
Perhaps sample local wines and
cheeses; enjoy a guided alpine walk;
spot wildlife on a Night Spotlight
Tour (limited availability) or relax
and indulge your senses at the
Waldheim Alpine Spa.

Day 12: The
Nut, Woolnorth Wind Farm, Cape Grim,
Smithton
Pass by Stanley to see The Nut
before continuing to Smithton. This
afternoon we visit the wind farm at
Woolnorth, strategically perched
atop the most north-western cliffs
of Tasmania. Visit nearby Cape Grim,
where you can breathe in the
cleanest air in the world while
enjoying afternoon tea.

Day 13:
Sheffield, Ashgrove Cheese Factory,
Woolmers Estate and National Rose
Garden
Travel through Devonport, the
oceanic gateway to Tasmania, then
continue to Sheffield, the ‘Town of
Murals’. Wander the streets to see
detailed historical wall paintings
on building facades. Afterwards,
tour and enjoy tastings at Ashgrove
Cheese Factory, visit Woolmers
Estate and see the National Rose
Garden.

Day 14:
Historic Ross, Farewell Dinner
Travel around the Great Lake before
heading to historic Ross. View the
famous bridge and explore the quaint
township then continue back to
