Day 1: Launceston, Freedom of Choice Touring
Arrive in Launceston before 12.50 p.m. You will be warmly welcomed on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Visit Cataract Gorge. Later, choose between seeing the unique platypus at Platypus House, watching delightful seahorses at Seahorse World or visiting Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum at Beaconsfield. Tonight meet your fellow travellers at a Welcome Drinks and Dinner.
Stay: Launceston, Hotel Grand Chancellor.

Day 2: East Coast Natureworld, Freycinet National Park
During lavender season (Dec.-Jan.) visit Bridestowe Lavender Farm and enjoy the revitalising aroma of the fields. Travel south along the pristine coast through St Helens and then on to the town of Bicheno. Here visit East Coast Natureworld where you’ll see a Tasmanian Devil and other fascinating native animals. From Bicheno, we journey into spectacular Freycinet National Park, with its sandy white beaches, rugged mountains, secluded coves and the dramatic peaks of The Hazards. Enjoy a ranger guided walking tour of beautiful Cape Tourville.
Stay: Freycinet Lodge.

Day 3: Tasman Peninsula, Port Arthur Historic Site, Crayfeast
Follow the coastal road to Eaglehawk Neck, visiting the natural features of the Tessellated Pavement, Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen. Your journey continues to the fascinating Port Arthur Historic Site. Established as a prison settlement for male convicts in 1830, Port Arthur became known as ‘hell on earth’. Today, you can explore the ruins and perhaps wander through the 40 hectares of colourful gardens. Learn about the area’s history on a guided tour and enjoy an informative cruise on Mason Cove. Later, experience a Tasmanian specialty, a delicious crayfish feast (fresh seafood is served outside cray season).
Stay: Port Arthur, Comfort Inn.

Day 4: Richmond, Hobart, Freedom of Choice Touring
Explore the delightful Georgian village of Richmond, classified by the National Trust. Enjoy free time to stroll along the quaint streets lined with sandstone buildings, antique shops and see the delightful Richmond Bridge. Continue into Hobart, Tasmania’s capital city and choose from our Freedom of Choice options - visit Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory, Cascade Brewery (seasonal closures occur) or take an historical walking tour around Hobart including Salamanca Square and Constitution Dock - either way, it’s all included in your tour price. Your tour concludes at 5.00 p.m.
