Day 1:
Coorong Cruise, Younghusband Peninsula
You will be picked up at approx. 7.45
hrs from your accommodation in Adelaide.
Coach transfer through the famous
McLaren Vale wine region to Goolwa to
board your Spirit of the Coorong
Eco-Cruise at 10.00 hrs. During this 30
km Eco-cruise you will experience a
special place where this wetland complex
connects to the lower Murray River and
Lakes system. It is also a very
significant area for the local
Aboriginal population. Then onto the
Mouth of the Murray River and into the
Coorong National Park stopping at
Godfrey's Landing for a guided board
walk across Younghusband Peninsula to
view the Great Southern Ocean. Lunch is
served on board as we travel down into
the Coorong National Park. Our next stop
is at Cattle Point for a guided walk
into a significant Aboriginal site.
Afternoon tea is served after this walk.

Day 2: Seal Bay
guided beach walk, Kangaroos and Koalas
in the wild
Depart Goolwa by coach transfer to catch
up with 09.00 hrs ferry departure from
Cape Jervis. Arriving on Kangaroo Island
by 9.45 hrs by Ferry. Meet your guide
for an introduction to Kangaroo Island
before heading out in search of wildlife
encounters. Your guide will help you
spot kangaroos, koalas and echidnas in
the wild. A highlight today is a guided
beach walk at Seal Bay, home to a colony
of Australian sea lions. See these
fascinating mammals up close, as they
bask on the beach or in the dunes after
their extensive fishing expedition. With
your guide you are able to stand
remarkably close to these endangered
creatures and watch them at play. Enjoy
a gourmet picnic lunch in a secluded
bush location, followed by a bushwalk.
Listen out for the calls of the wide
variety of birdlife. There are over 250
species of birds on Kangaroo Island,
making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
Many of these birds have developed their
own sub-species and are unique to
Kangaroo Island. This afternoon, we
explore the stunning North Coast and
admire the scenery. (L)
Day 3: Flinders
Chase National Park, Fur Seals,
Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch
This morning we discover the natural
wonders of Flinders Chase National Park.
See at close range the New Zealand fur
seals that inhabit these waters and view
the unique geological formation of
Admirals Arch and the delicately
balanced granite domes of the Remarkable
Rocks. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a bush
setting then tour the pristine
wilderness by 4-wheel drive. Search for
koalas in the wild and wander along
secluded bush tracks and admire the
pretty wilderness surrounds. By special
permit, we enter the spectacular Kelly
Hill Conservation Park. As dusk
approaches, kangaroos and other native
animals move out into the open to graze.
Your tour concludes in time for a 6.30
p.m. flight to Adelaide, arriving at
7:05 p.m. OR 7:30pm ferry departure,
arriving in Adelaide at approx 10:30pm.
