Explore the natural beauty of the Top End and Arnhem Land with an overnight stay in the World Heritage Kakadu National Park.

Day 1: World Heritage Kakadu National Park, Ubirr Art Site, East Alligator River Guided Cruise
Depart Darwin and enter the stunning landscapes of World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Journey to Ubirr art site to view galleries of ancient Aboriginal rock art. Join your local Aboriginal guide for a cruise along the tranquil waters of the magnificent East Alligator River. Then, with special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land (conditions permitting). (L)
Accommodation: Kakadu National Park – Choice of hotel

Day 2: 4WD into Arnhem Land, Mikinj Valley, Window on the Wetlands Drinks
Today journey across the East Alligator River into Arnhem Land. Travel to the rarely visited Mikinj Valley, with its sandstone outcrops, escarpments, floodplains and billabongs. With special permission from the Manilakarr people, see places inaccessible to most. View Aboriginal art in its natural state – no barriers or fences. Most tours are led or accompanied by an Aboriginal guide. Returning to Darwin, stop at Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre for a complimentary glass of wine while enjoying views over the floodplains. (L)

*Injalak Arts and Craft Association is visited only on weekdays. Injalak is not open weekends and public holidays and may be closed for cultural reasons. If Injalak is closed we will visit Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming in Kakadu. This alternative also applies when seasonal flooding and tides prevent crossing the East Alligator River.
